Office Guidelines and Helpful Information

Welcome to my practice. Whether you are a new or current client, this page has important information for you about my office guidelines. I encourage you to contact me and ask questions so that you can make informed decisions about your emotional health.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment, please call at least 24 hour in advance. In cases of unforeseen emergencies, I make every effort to be flexible. I am happy to conduct a session by phone or video conference if you are unable to come to my office. Scheduled sessions not canceled within the 24 hour notice will be your responsibility.

Email Communication

Email is not considered private or confidential. While email can be an efficient form of communication, please consider the following issues:
• If you request to communicate via email, it is possible that your communications could be received by a person other than the intended.
• Every effort is made to have all incoming emails read within 48 hours. Since this is not always possible, please try to reach me by telephone if you have not received a response in the desired time frame.
• Urgent matters should not be addressed in email.

Fee and Payment

Fees will be discussed and agreed upon during our phone consultation. Individual sessions are generally 50 minutes long. Couple sessions are 60 minutes in duration. Cash, check and major credit cards (via Paypal) are accepted for payment. To make a payment with your credit card, click 'Pay Now' on the icon below and you will be taken to PayPal's website, where you can complete the payment to me safely and securely.

I prefer payment to be made at the time of service.

I do not participate with insurance panels, however many of my clients receive out of network reimbursement for their sessions. I will provide you with a statement at the end of the month that includes appropriate diagnostic codes for submitting an out of network claim.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

I follow professional code of conduct standards and state guidelines regarding privacy. All information is held in the strictest confidence. I will not release any information about you without your written permission. At times, it is helpful for me to speak to another professional, such as your primary care doctor or a psychiatrist, but to do that I will need to discuss it with you first and get your permission. There are, however, rare exceptions to confidentiality, as mandated by law. These exceptions include situations when someone is a threat to themselves or others, or when there is an indication of suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.

Make a Payment

For your convenience, you can make a payment for your sessions through PayPal. You will be taken to the PayPal website where you can enter a credit card without creating a PayPal account. Your payment is secure and private.
